Here are some practical ways to help foster children and foster families:

• New socks and underwear for children - All Sizes
• Gift cards to Payless Shoes, Walmart and Target
• Gift cards to Chuck E Cheese or Boomers for our Residential Homes and our Shelter
• New children's clothing - particularly sizes that would fit a child age 5 - 10
• Diapers sizes 1, 2, 3 and 4
• Newborn and Preemie clothes

These items would be a blessing because many times children come into care with only the clothes that they are wearing. Being able to provide a child with a few new outfit makes them feel special. The gift cards to Chuck E Cheese and Boomers are a huge blessing to the group homes because as one house parent said "Going to Chuck E Cheese when you have one foster child isn't a big deal, try going when you have 6 kids in the shelter, it can get really expensive". Blessing the kids in a very fun way takes their minds off the reality of their situation.
